Fondue Fun
Greetings Jo's and friends... All the best for a great year and many awesome rides! Next week I'll be visiting Geneva for a few days and thought it would be a good idea to meet for a fondue and a few sociaaals! As it will be a busy week and everyone has plans already, I thought I would throw an option to the group to see what everyone prefers. Date: Please choose either Tuesday 21st or Thursday 23rd Venue: Vieux-Carouge Time: around 7pm Looking forward to seeing some of the group there and catching-up on all the news.

The Zulu and his ntombi (lady)
The mighty Jo's... I have been asked, so here are a few pics of the big day when Zulu married his brave biking partner and she became Mrs Zulu. It was a fabulous day, for sure, and would have been perfect for riding in the mountains around the wedding venue. Luckily, the party was good enough to keep everyone focused.

Roadie Baiting....LOVE IT
I had fun last night ....all on my own. No not that kind of fun....!!
Anyway, couldn't make it to Veyrier on time, but did get time for a quick ride - on my RIP.
Picked up roadie 1 just outside my house... but I had saddle issues so he went ahead.
I almost caught up with him as we turned onto the Cheserex road
Two more roadies went by on the main road as we turned on it follow them.
I really had to work against the wind to finally join the peloton.
One of the roadies noticed me....picked up speed immediately, his friend followed.
I couldn't stay with them and they took a 50m lead BUT...on the entrance into Cheserex
I put the pedal to the metal on the slight descent, caught them up and sailed straight past them.....
I heard frantic gear changes....but they couldn't catch me....I held the lead until Gingins
where we went separate ways....so they technically didn't overtake me ;-)
Heart rate was of the scale but bating 3 roadies in one 'hit' was just too good to pass by.
Still smiling now.....loved it.

Sociaaal
Hi Jo's.... If anyone is available on Sunday evening, we'll be at the Demi Lune from about 6pm enjoying a beer, wine and probably a burger later on. Please feel free to join us for some celebrations, a few socials and probably a story or two. Will certainly be good to see you all in winter gear.

Zulu on your stoep
Jo's.... The Zulu and his fiance will be enjoying a bit of white powder in France next week and visiting Geneve on the way home. Anyone in town during the weekend of 16th & 17th are invited to enjoy a beer or wine together.... perhaps a few "socials" will be necessary. Let me know your preference and we'll make plans to meet somewhere convenient.

Honeybadger is starting a new life ....
as a married man!
I saw him today as he was just leaving to vuvuzela land for the event.
He's been quite discreet about it, but agreed I could share, so here it is.
All the best to you, and complimenti to Madame.
