Creat GPX Files from Google Maps

Here you can create a GPX file from any route your create on google maps.

1.  Create your route on google maps
2.  Copy the URL of the route
3.  Navigate to this website: http://www.gpsvisualizer.com
4.  Paste the URL your just copied into the box after "Or provide the URL of a file on the Web:__________________________ (Pic 1)
5. Hit the green Convert button (Pic 1)
6. Download

Posting & Comments Problems

Ok - this is a problem for a number of people - but I have made some settings changes but also


1) Make sure you UNCHECK the 'stay signed in' box. This may help those having trouble logging in to their account.

Blogger Problems - Comments - Update

Posting & Blog Comment problems is still an unresolved issue at blogger.

I have changed to the 'old' editor (blog global setting) to see if it helps you at all.

Instructions - How to Add Video to the Blog

eg  vimeo:

find the "embed" icon (bottom right icon over the vimeo image)

click on the icon to show the embedded html code.

copy the code

open a new post

click "edit html" tab

paste what you just copied into the "edit HTML" tab

Flip to "Compose" tab, finish your post and publish....

you tube is similar.

adding pictures from screen savers etc - just find the embedded code, copy and paste into html tab.

Mojito night

Last night we had the preparation night for our week end outing of July 23-25.

Pony Experess and Boumboum spend hours on the map, (it took then almost as long as on biking on the track than to draw the way on the map) while labrico was playing the Wouwouzela and getting pissed with mojitos. Papy, was arguing about anything but will enjoy to make the hotel and bar reservation as usual, Husky was following Pony Experss and Boum boum on the map and 3 DC was preparing mojitos mainly for Labrico, doing the BBQ mainly for Papy and took the responsibilities for the transportation and drivers organisation.

The evening end up at midnight with the week end almost on hand.

Thanks to the organisation team: 3DC, Boumboum, Husky, Papy , Labrico and Pony Experss, 1 point

2points bonus for Pony Express for his map and Jura knowledge sharing and for motivation to come ridding back with us.

1 poinst bonus for the entertainment 3DC for the barman mojitos expertise and labrico for wouwouzela concert.

Caterpillar Mountain Biking Blog Authoring

Hey all - to be able to post on the blog you need 'author' rights. So far its me, dopey and my dad !!!

I just sent an email (separately) to all of you inviting you again to become authors - if you want to post (ride reports eg) you have to accept the invitation.

1) Those of you with google accounts already - easy as pie!!

2) Those of you without google accounts: if papy can sign up for google - YOU CAN TOO. Its painless and quick.
