Sani2c.... better late than never!

In May, it was time for the 10th annual Sani2c multi-day race from the Drakensberg mountains (Sani) through 270 km of amazing countryside to the sea. This ride is partly sponsored by the Cat dealer (Barloworld) and has been ridden by certain members of the Cat MTB team over the years. This was my turn for my first ride. Although I don't have many pictures, I encourage you guys to consider this as an option before the summer season in Europe. It's a lot of fun and quite a good test of your fitness. Happy to help make arrangements for anyone interested. Cmon and play in SA.

The Zulu and his ntombi (lady)

The mighty Jo's... I have been asked, so here are a few pics of the big day when Zulu married his brave biking partner and she became Mrs Zulu. It was a fabulous day, for sure, and would have been perfect for riding in the mountains around the wedding venue. Luckily, the party was good enough to keep everyone focused.

A Zulu in the Bush

The Mashatu Game Reserve is famous for elephants and giraffe. We had the opportunity to cycle through it this past Easter weekend with a group of 11 adventurous riders. Although it was dusty, the recent floods left a lot of fantastic greenery and lots of soft sand on the flood plains. This made for tough riding and beautiful views! Unfortunately Mrs Zulu had a bit of a fall, but got back on the bike and carried on. Three stitches at the hospital later, she was still smiling. Enjoy the photos.
