Whistler Bike Park Day 1

Jason has been bouncong off of the Walls in anticipation of today so
no rest for missile.

Fanatyk bikes is conveniently located not far from the bike park so we
are off with a Norco a-line for me and a b-line for Jason.

Hah we have bought lift tickets the day before so we are straight up
the lift.

We start with eZ does it. Green. Too easy. We are soon bored with
that. We drop into another trail - b-line. Much better. A few jumps to
get us going. Cool. We are in WHISTLER. We are biking. How cool is that.

We go up again and enter crank it up. We did this on day 7. Much more
fun on downhill bikes. We fly a little. Jason fles a lot for a small
person. The kickers are really well made...they really pop you up into
the air. Pop pop pppPPOP. Ccccoool!

We do that one again. We drop into a black but a tad too black for
Jason.

We do a bit of Dirt Merchant black diamond - few tricky buts - a whoa
nelly moment firme as I go over an edge to find a vertical drop
instead of a hill. No worries-pull up on the handlebars and bobs yer
uncle.

We stop for a mobster burger and fries. Dopy joins us! Yeah Dopey.

We do crank it up again and then go and change Jason' bike. The b line
is 24" wheel simplebije and the suspension doesn't work so well. He
swaps it out for an aline. A monster bike for him but better perfomer
all round. One problem: weight ratio: if we had a similar bike to
weight ratio ourbikes would weigh 42 kg!!!

Still he is jumping further on thus than kn the other bike. We do the
alone trail acoupke of times. Big kickers which need big speed to
clear. Dopey cleans them...we don't. Massive fun though.

We do the ninja trail but mess up and end up on smoke a
mirrors.....loads of wooden platforms about 20cm to 1.5 metres off the
ground and 70cm wide at most. It's like riding a
Montagne russe/roller coaster. Jason cleans it all except a 2o cm log.
Good work. He avoids (barely) toppling over as the bike is so big he
can't put his foot on thegeound easily.

Day 1 of 2 is over. What fun. Wd return the bikes and negotiate an air
sprung enduro for Jason tomorrow.

I hope I can keep up with him!!!!
