July 11, 2010 ride report of Chamonix - Genève

The ride on Garmin Connect

Guide : Boumboum
Riders : Papy, Husky, 3DC, Zulu, No 5
What : Chamonix - Genève, as close as possible to the Arve
How much : 96km, 5h01 moving time, 19km/h average moving speed, 736m up and 1356m down

See you next year for Zermatt - Geneva or Gstaad - Geneva...

Those who took photos can send them to me so I can add to this blog, thank you.

July 6, 2010 ride report: The Enchanting Horses of Salève

How much : 41km, 2h42 moving time, 655m up and 1305m down
Trails : everything you can imagine, in less than 4 hours !

Points :

+1 for all with such big smiles after each downhill
-0.5 for newbee Christophe for mismanagement of the laundry (no CAT shirt, Aaron did better on this)
-0.5 for Papy biking inside the upper cable car station (he couldn't wait)
+1 for Badger for an OTB and blood in the first downhill to La Muraz
+0.5 for newbee Aaron for jumping on these f...... rocks near Le Feu
+0.5 for Boumboum for choosing a flowy descent in a nice grassland, but - 0.5 because it was the wrong way (Aaron was for numerous ups and downs, but later, when he was on autopilot, he thought that this was not such a good idea)
+1 for Christophe for his phrase "ça fait chier, je pars en vacances 3 semaines" when we talked about the upcoming Tuesday nights looking at the Mont-Blanc, the Lake Léman and the sunshine behind the Salève
+0.5 for Papy for his combative spirit in the many "coups de cul"
+0.5 for Husky for his barking so we know he is still with us
+1 for Boumboum for biking the "yurt uphill" (you may compare it to "Joest's free dinner climb")
+1 for Boumboum for grilling and the magnum of Burgundy (3DC : do they have magnums at VG?)

Please add your suggestions, I heard about a medal of GPS...

Where are the Enchanting Horses ?

It does not matter, we will catch up

Look at my new CAT shirt !

Christophe takes the photo and say his famous phrase (see up)

Lake Geneva is left of Christophe

Papy is doing a new version of "Pont de Labrico": même pas mal...

... and Christophe is going too fast for the photographer

The Mont-Blanc is Mont-Rose tonight

That was the "yurt uphill"
