Joe's thanks for a super ride in the Jura. Nice up hill and even better down hill....All smiles in beautiful Jura country.

Riders: Nascar, No. 5, Zulu, Dopey and Joern

Directions: departure in Tranchepied, Cheserex, Pacours Vita Trelex, Givrins, climb to Arzier, past the farm at La Voilette, direction Ruines d'Oujon, towards St Cergue, une demi de Fruiteres de Nyon, a loup through the Pacours Vita in St Cergue, new trail past Monteret to La Chevrerie, fast descend through the tunnel to La Bellangere, Pacours Vita Trelex, Gingins and home to Tranchepied.

Length: 2:50 hours riding time

Highlights:

- A dry, sunny and snow free Jura. With the best trails ever....

- ......enormous dust clouds during our fast & furious descends through the tunnel....

- Some new trails....and a new tour (to be tested during the next tuesday night in the Jura)

- A fine PBS from Dopey.....he was cutting the corner to much. (Plate Bek Smak....1 point for the translation in proper English slang)

- Fine German beers and pasta at Chateau Greta

Purpose: To swing some old rusty legs while enjoying scenery and good company

How fun: All the way
How bad: Boum-Boum front flat on a single speed (why again..)
How many points:
+ 1 for Boum-Boum - rode the damn s/speed with a front flat back home...
+ 1 for LaBrico for unkown serenity (and no fall - just kidding)
+ 1 for Papy who borrowed a pump from a passing by roadie + provided another pump to BB for his return home.
+ 1 for Papy who displayed oldest jersey - perfect condition - within the Team ! I dare You.

Joe's thanks for a perfect ride! Here is the summary.....of course comments, suggestions and extra posts are welcome.

Summary:

Riders: Newbee Christophe, Newbee Aaron, Balls, Boumboum, Labrico, No.5, Zulu and Dopey

Ride statistics: Ask....Mr. GPS (Boumboum)

Paparazzi: Dopey

Departure: 18:00 hours sharp...even Labrico was on time. He had to stop to look at some pretty women but quickly realized that is friends are more important. He made it on time.

Two hours of perfect riding on the Petite Saleve...we reached the summit after 01:15 hours riding as a group. Nobody got lost and no technicals!

Points:

+ 1 for Aaron the newb....for doing a nice OTB. We almost got it on camera...

+ 0.5 for the newbs...three rides in a row and on time and no nagging during rides. What a pleasure...

Papy...the pictures of the newbs look rather bad without proper Cat wear....maybe you can start thinking about a premium out fit for those boys.

Dopey: So we can leave our shit in the car?

A Saturday ride with the big boys......

Weekend rides: Anybody that what wants to join weekend rides....please make it known to the crowd. Most weekends people will be riding, most weekends even both days. And.......No not all rides are 4 to 5 hour long 25% climbs.....

This Saturday:.....we started from Labrico's place. Boum boum and Dopey were on time however Labrico managed to be late leaving from his own place.

Ride details: Ask GPS Boum boum.....soon I will be able to inform you myself

Ride name: Scenic tour at the foot of the Saleve - 1.5 hours

Riders: Labrico, Boum boum and Dopey
