Moved to 28/4 (26/4 - Petit Salève ride)
The vast majority could not make it today, so I suggest we move the ride to Thursday, April 28. Salève ride (depart from Douane de Veyrier) and dinner at home. Thanks to confirm.
Hi Joes,
Next Tuesday ride is tomorrow. Start from Douane de Veyrier at 6pm (remember new rules for those arriving late). Suggest Petit Salève unless BoumBoum or Labrico take us somewhere else.
Then dinner at home, 10 minutes from douane de Veyrier (address and link on the ride calendar).
I need to know by noon who's coming for dinner (to inform the cook).
See you guys tomorrow

The Jet Lag Ride

Two Cats on a Jet Lag Ride in the Jussy Woods ! Papy on his way back from Australia, Singapore landed in gorgeous Geneva at 8am on a Friday...(where am I again..) Time to stop in office to tend business matters.. 4pm jumped on the saddle with riding mates Zulu (before his own departing to South Africa) and Jo Jetlag...(to make three). Results: About 27 kms, about 2 hours, dry tracks, parcours des douaniers just tasty. The sun and the ride felt good to both of us. Zulu had to choose to miss the beer or miss his plane... Points Claims: One "survival" point for Zulu who took the hairiest fall you can take in Juicy Woods and survived without injury.(come and I will show you where) One point for each of us for simply doing it ! Have seen no Dogs...but the one we chased ; - ))

Camel Trophy Des Gonzesses - Ride Report
The roadies turned up with bikes with big wheels,
all rigid, no suspenders they wanted to see
if their skinny big wheels, could be matched with some rips
for dopey and missile had niners with grips
and speaking of grips, boum boum did now see
some nice new orange ones, only two and not three
then riding we went, a real camel trophy
make sure you have had a good dose of caffeine
cos then we went up and then down with no frown
many short ups, and when up, we went down
but missile got lost at the and of a path
whacking thru bushes, bah not a laugh
then down "twisted sister", new path of the dopey
the roadies had fun on this down that is slopey
the missile did end up with a slightly wet knee
he got poked in a river by a really small tree
and still we went up some more metres to climb
and down on some paths that were really fine
until we had done a quite a few, well a thousand
until our legs felt 'twas a like riding through sand
then the gonzesses that weren't, they called it a day
and decided to go to the cafe and say
"give me a steak with foie gras on top"
and then when were finished we'll just have to stop!

Camel trophy?!....
Was it a ride? It killed me!
Next time tell us to bring:
- Safety glasses
- Chainsaw
- Canoe
- Doping...
Here are my points recommendations:
+ 0.25 Missile for turning around. The first and probably the last time he will do that....yes, he was bushwhacking again after Dopey told him this trail was not going anywhere.....
- 0.5 for calling your fellow Joe riders "names"...you are the guide!...that is something else as riding in front.
- 0.25 for Boumboum and Labrico for bringing a road bike to the Camel trophy. They were not complaining but riding in front of me at snail pace on the fun (DH) parts of the ride!
Orange grips! Wether you want them or not..... -4 grams!
The result of riding on a smooth (NOT) trail...
