Ride report 27 April 2010 (Nooburgers)

Riders: Mike M, Joest, Christophe, Marcel, Claude, Michel J, Pete and Aaron

Directions: departure from the Crozet (Jura) and climb to the top of the Telecabines.
Length: 1:30 to go up and 30 minutes to go down (2:00 total)

Highlights:
- It was just another picture perfect beautiful spring day (Sunny and dry with temperature around 20 degrees. We all agreed to meet in the parking lot of the telecabine at 18h00. As usual, the Geneva traffic slowed more than one of us down. By the time everybody was ready to move, it was 18h30!?! Marcel beat an all time record, held by Fabian, by showing up 45 minutes late.
- Claude gets a ¼ point for biking to the meeting point from work.. bravo
- Zulu drove by Claude half way, probably could have given the man a ride but decided to let him get the exercise.. (1/4 point for being a Good Samaritan J)
- The ride up was long but very enjoyable; we biked in pairs and told stories while pedaling up the long winding gravel road.
- Once at the top and we had reached the last sets of snow patches, the temperature cooled down and we were ready to enjoy the prize of our long effort: the downhill. And as usual, Joest took the lead (‘cause he knows the Jura)
- 3dc gets two (2) points for an “over the bar” flip and blood on his knee.
- No5 gets one (1/4) point for at least two slips and minor bruise on his hand
- Christophe was praised by the group for doing a “f***ing” good downhill (1/4 point for the newby’s downhill skills)
- Simon and Michel M. decided to make special appearances …. For dinner only!? Christophe, the newby, didn’t think this was acceptable. Well, know he knows (smile)
- At last, Aaron and chefs prepared “f***ing” tasty cheeseburgers on the bbq to feed all the hungry Joes. (hell, the newbies are good J)

Points:
All Joe's for participating +1 (except Marcel for his tardiness)
3DC +2 points
Claude, Zulu, No5, Chris: +1/4 point
