Hey Joe`s
I want to go do the Port du Soleil race the 26 of June
But I am a compleet Nuuuwbie on this kind biking, Are anybody going Downhilling Soon and is willing to show me the ropes
I need to learn from where to rent a bike and gear and what not to do when you are down hilling to not to piss of other downhillers
Anybody have patience
You go early, pick a bike, try on the gear (full-face helmet included), try the brakes, then go! Only thing you need to do is throw yourself downhill. Not sure if I'll be around on the 26th for the PDS, but as soon as the grey turns to blue I'll be on my way to Les Gets (and I assume Dopey will too)
ReplyDeleteHoneybadger....I'd love to do it too but will be in canada by then.. but am also literally "hand"icapped...if you want to learn...a good start would be to go to les gets and rent a bike up there....they have all the protection too. from there its practice practice practice....there is all kind of runs to get you going as well....'chavannes' is a fun middle of the road run.....as far as p..ing of the others just dont run into anybody!!! enjoy and ....welcome to the club...
ReplyDeleteBadger, I might be convinced to throw myself down the mountain one of these weekends. As long as it's dry and sunny, it should be fun. Let me know your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteThanks Guys
ReplyDelete@ Zulu Laat my weet out maat, my gat jeuk lekker vir hier die speletjie
Why don't we just look for one of the saturdays or sundays coming up and we go to Les Gets? I like what Dopey wrote but if you've been down the Petit Saleve you're ready to go downhilling and you'll be fine...as long as you're not foolish enough to think you can do what Dopey does and live to tell your friends about it. It's like skiing or snowboarding, how far you take it is up to you.
