2 point quiz: from which villages are these shields and what is the link with the 4'th June?

OTB in first 50 metres
50 metres into the woods, avoiding mud, avoiding horse foot-print holes, riding UPhill!!
.... WTF....OTB, splat, bounce, SPLAT, ouch !
I immediately tried to do an Oscar, but was pinned by the bike so it took me more than just a nanosecond to stand up again. So after wriggling in the mud like a worm for while, I managed to stand up and see what bit me....
...yet another branch on a log on a downed tree tree that I just didn't see!!
Almost ruined my day. (Bashed elbow & balls too, for my troubles)
Anway...then an 850m climb up to La Vattay "Noire-de-Divonne", into the fresh snow and all smiles on the way down.
So how was your weekend ?

Deal-Maker Margarita Ride Proposal
Need to ride - I will ride Sunday May 26 either at 11.00h or 13.00h - as family business unfolds - from Choulex to Le Fieu-Les Nonnes/Voirons - only uphill - if anybody is to join , let me know !

Ride Report – May 21
Pas des poules qui se mouillent pas..
Distance : 26km
Time : 2h00
Up : + 700m
Riders : +1 Limancello , Claude
Tour Leader : +1 Claude
Scores as @ 22 May 2013

Still at Burke....
This place is big, I did a longer loop today. Flow and flow, up and down, nothing to technical but you cannot look around neither unless you want to hug a tree. Tired and happy. Papy: you'd love it with your wagon wheels.
I think weather is miserable back home, I hope it gets better for our return.😊

JoBalls response
Hey Papy, thanks for posting my "memorable" pics on the blog. I was in no shape to be smiling, "V-ing", or anything else. Yes, it was before the morphine. Had I known how good the stuff was, imagine what I would have been doing then... I'll leave that to Missile and Labrico!!!
Thank you all again for your visits, calls, magazines, help and support. I'm going to get well quickly and be stronger, but more importantly, WISER, on the other side of this. I'm also going to have to put the troitinette away!!!
Labrico very kindly dropped off research on the trip we plan in August as motivation for me, so I've got my work cut out!!!
Ciao, JB (have I mentioned how good morphine is?!?!?)
By the way: how many "blood points" do I get for 4 broken ribs, a dented lung, compressed vertibrae and a haemathoma on my hip? Ref, please be generous!!!
See you all on the trails soon!
