Ride Report - The "The hares and the tortoise" ride

Salève, May 1, 2012

Riders: Tanya, Dopey, Labrico, BoumBoum, Balls, Marco, self-nicknamed Weasel, Limoncello

Ride details: cable car to the Salève, up by the Observatoire and further south. Down to Monnetier-Mornex, then across the Petit-Salève to head back to Veyrier. BoumBoum or Labrico, would you add ride info from your GPS (lenght, duration, elevation, ...).

Dinner: the above less Tanya and Labrico, but with Papy would not miss it although he did not get what he had ordered (another time Papy). Host Limoncello (actually Madame).

Highlights:
- NO RAIN !
- Coach Labrico motivating late Balls to get up and ready in less than 90 seconds
- Really cool downhill, awful uphill for one
- no OTB, no mechanical, and a lot of patience for the other 7
- I may have missed what was going on in the front of the pack, guys pls complete
- Papy arriving 30 minutes before the group and showing off with his Porsche … Christèle not impressed!
- Hoegaarden well appreciated by some
- good dinner, homemade dessert, and the much awaited homemade limoncello (thanks to Christèle for all that).
