End of the Show - The 2015 season has ended !

Statler:     Wake up you old fool. You slept through the show.

Electric ride report: Sat 28 Oct

Season finale ride: 6 riders took advantage of great weather on Saturday, last weekend of the season: Labrico, Limoncello, OldJo, Balls and guests: Limoncello Jnr and Andy Friedli. 

Labrico made a special appearance after months away!!! Great to see him back on the bike! Welcome back buddy!

We met up at Douane de Monniaz and set off for the Voirons. We climbed in sunshine, enjoying the views and colours of autumn all around us. ;)))

Labrico leading the way on his electric beast. 

We got to the top and then pointed the wheels down. And was that sumptious!!! A flowy, grippy, single-track from top to bottom! ;))) Smiles all around. 

Stats for the ride:

Distance covered: 43km (some more than others as we departed from different spots)

Positive height: 850m

Ride time: 2hrs30mins

Points: 1 each for ride

Host: 1 for Balls (SA vs NZ didn't end so well) :(((

Courage: 1 for Labrico (back on the bike)

Where: Voirons ride with singletrack DH

Time: 10:00

Meeting point: Douane de Monniaz

Why: I'd like to ride in the morning as there is the matter of a small rugby match on at 17:00 on Saturday. 

All riders are welcome back to my place in evening for the SA vs NZ at 17:00

Wed 21 Oct. Last "Season ride"

Please let me know how many can / would like to ride this week Wed night. 

I know many are away travelling, school holidays, etc. 

As a special guest, Zulu is in town. 

I know Limoncello has offered Zulu hos bike, but at worst we will do dinner with Zulu somewhere nice!!!

Let me know. I am keen to ride!!!

Grand Bois Hunt ride report

OldJo and Balls set off on a chilly eve for an amble through the woods...
Up they rode, through Balliason and beyond...
Into the woods and far, far away...
Cold it was, but dry it stayed...
To the top they got...
To enjoy the view...

Then down they came, with huge smiles...
And entered the woods, on the other side...
Hunted and chased, they were well warned...

But not a care did they have...
For they were well formed... :)))

Ride distance: 46kms (54kms for OldJo back home)
Up: 480m
Down: just as much
Time in saddle: 2hr 30mins

Points:
1 each for OldJo & Balls for braving the conditions and riding
1 for Balls for hosting
1/2 for OldJo for outpacing Balls on downhill (again...), 55km/h vs 48km/h - definitely something wrong with my speedo meter?!?!?

And pizza in Hermance after the ride is probably the best in the business!!! Yeah!!!

OldJo and Balls rode the Grand Bois again on Sunday 11th Oct.
Distance: 50kms
Climbing: 500m
Time: 2:30mins

A great time out in the Big Forest, fresh air, good sweat and plenty of mushrooms to eat along the way...

Points awarded:
Attendence: 1 each for OldJo and Balls
Host: 1 for JoBalls
Mushroom muncher: 1/2 point for OldJo
Coffee and chocolate buyrer: 1/2 for Balls
