The world's first electric 29er...

This is my new... oops... the new bike for my wife (it reminds me of someone!):

• 500 horsepower (ok, watts)
• 45 km/h, more if you "Pedal Damn It"
• 90 km range
• 21 kg
• and the best for last: a boost throttle, as in video games, no need to pedal!!!

The question is: do you recognize this bike?

What we learned today;

- We will never see Nascar carbon ride (again)...unless we go riding with Jozette.

- Dopey can piss people off without saying anything...you girly!

- Boumboum dares to call Missile a chicken...only before the start of the season?

- Missile can make beers evaporate.

- We know a very, very good address for chili and chilling with friends...!!

Meeting Point: 9:00 (WITH TICKETS ALREADY BOUGHT) at the bottom of Telecabine des Violettes.

This is Montana side - it should be easy parking and is easier to get to for those coming from far and by car.

If you can - use your keycard to buy tickets on-line !!

2011 - Year of The Missile !!!?

Well, somehow I doubt it, but when Joest finds employment, maybe I'm in with a chance.....

Anyhoo... - there's already a fight to host the first ride between Dopey and 3 Decis but...3 decis you need to check your dates for daylight savings - you are wrong!!

So as a reminder: The first ride will be on 29'th March from Stand de Tir de St Georges

The 2011 ride calendar is now up and running (see page above), so if you already know you want to host a ride, just fill it in - you all have access.

Below you can see my new ride for 2011.....it should work well downhill!

CORRECTION : Second Ride - April 5'th - Host 3 Decis

New and old Newbees...... This is to inform you that our (SECOND) ride for the season will be on the SECOND Tuesday evening after summer time i.e. April 5 2011. The meeting is at the Stand de tir St George at 18h00. Be ready, get your bike serviced and be there on time... (You have a soon enough warning) Don't be shy and join the team. VTT No. 5

My newest acquisitions. Fat Tire beer neon sign behind bar in basement and notice my license plate on my Suburu Outback. Miss the mountains and I'm jealous seeing everyone's posts showing them riding in Juru and Saleve the past few weeks. We have almost 1.5 ft of snow on the ground here in Peoria and it's been down to -9 Fahrenheit over the past week. Can't wait until Spring to get out on the trails and ride in mud!

Yesterday......it was sunny on the Salève

The season opener.....in Finale Ligure, Italy. Proposed dates April 14 - 17

Finale Ligure, one of our favorite spots for food, coffee, ice-cream......and mountain-biking!

Dates: Leave Thursday (early) morning April 14th and return Sunday April 17th (after lunch).

Stay: The usual, Casa Vacanze "Sul Borgo"!

What to bring: Smile, a 29er, camera and cash so you can pay your friends coffee, ice-cream, etc.

Extra option: Leave Wednesday evening so we can do DH shuttling all Thursday (Simon, Jason?)

I'll reserve the usual room (4-5 pax).

50 days to start of season!

First tuesday night ride March 29th! 3DC you can pencil the bord du Rhône in you agenda!

Joe's the weather forecast looks like more than +10C so for those that are not fat, broken, bike-less or cold hearted.....I suggest a little spin in the Jura.
